Being a novice in the Linux, we next intreebare, I would like to answer even if you could slightly naive. I installed a kiwi (near Windows XP) and would like to install Wine you've already downloaded on your hard drive. In order to prevent further criticism of the use of XP, I want to tell you that using a drawing program such Acad (free) who knows only Windows and I thought that I could use it as kiwi and then I could give up Win XP. So, being in Kiwi Linux, I installed Wine from your hard because I for internet connection. install it on the net. What to do? Thank you in advance
No question seems naive at all.
From my point of view, the easy installation that does not require an Internet connection is the source. So, first of all be taken for Wine source. Here is found the source for Wine:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wine/files/Source/
Save this file on a stick for example, or a CD and then copy it on the machine you installed Kiwi Linux. The file must be in the form: wine-1.1.28.tar.bz2.
wine-1.1.28.tar.bz2 tar xvjf
It will create wine-1.1.28 directory.
cd wine-1.1.28
Have launched the following commands:
. / Configure
make depend
make
make install
That's as installing Wine from sources that I think should work.
Increase!

@ Dan I run applications created in Visual Basic and fox in wine, so I would not be a problem. However, you should try to install a demo version of software for safety.
